The social meeting of needleworkers, Kniterary, will continue in the new year. Come out to the library in Port Carling at 1:00 pm on Thursdays for an enjoyable afternoon by the fire and discuss books, knitting, or whatever topic appeals. All welcome and no pre-registration required. Stay tuned for information on when Michele Meadows, owner of Muskoka Yarn Connections, comes to Kniterary in the new year. Anyone who has met Michele knows what a magician she is with wool so you won’t want to miss the opportunity!
The library in Port Carling is a great place to come to check out movies for those busy holiday diversions. Many new titles arrive almost weekly so be sure to come and check them out.
The Port Carling branch will be closed December 24 to 27 and December 31 to January 2 for the holidays. Bala branch closed December 25 and January 2; Milford Bay branch closed December 23 to January 5; Walker’s Point branch closed from December 18 to January 11.
The staff of the Muskoka Lakes Public Library would like to take this opportunity to thank all our valued patrons for another great year at the library. Many of you donate books and magazines to the collection on a regular basis for the enjoyment of others. Still others donate their time and expertise to enrich the content of library programs. The library experience is so much richer as a result of your continued generosity! Merry Christmas!
